Formed in 2013, Mrs. GREEN APPLE made its major-label debut in 2015 with the mini-album "Variety" from EMI Records. Since then, the band has released one studio album every year and continued steady live performances, and their first nationwide arena tour "Eden no Sono", held from December 2019 was instantly sold out in Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka (80,000 total audiences). In July 2020, on the day of their 5th anniversary of their major-label debut, they released their first best-of album "5", which ranked No. 1 on the Oricon Weekly combined chart and the Billboard Album Chart. At the same time, the band declared the "completion of Phase 1" and suddenly announced a hiatus.

After a hiatus of about 1 year and 8 months, the group resumed its activities as "opening of Phase 2" with the current members in March 2022. In July of the same year, they released the mini-album "Unity" and held a one-night-only revival live concert "Utopia". "Dance Hall," which is included in the mini-album, became the fastest song in the band's history to surpass 400 million streams. They also provided the song "I'm Invincible" for the movie "ONE PIECE FILM RED", wrote the theme song "Soranji" for the movie "From Siberia With Love", and received “Excellent Work Award” at the “64th Japan Record Awards” for "Dance Hall".

In 2023, the band's 10th anniversary year, they released their fifth full-length studio album "Antenna" in July, their first album in four years since "Attitude", and held their largest arena tour "Mrs. GREEN APPLE ARENA TOUR 2023 “NOAH no HAKOBUNE”” in Tokyo, Osaka, and Aichi. In August, they held their first dome concert “Mrs. GREEN APPLE DOME LIVE 2023 "Atlantis"". In addition, they won the Grand Prix at the "65th Japan Record Awards" with "Que Sera Sera" and made their first appearance on the "74th NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen" with "Dance Hall".

In 2024, the rush of new songs is continuing, with the release of the theme song "Nachtmusik" for the movie "Silent Love" in January, the opening theme "Lilac" for the TV anime "Oblivion Battery" in April, and the theme song "Dear" for the movie "Dear Family" on Monday, May 20. In addition, at Noevir Stadium Kobe on July 6 (Sat) and 7 (Sun) and at Yokohama Stadium on July 20 (Sat) and 21 (Sun), they will hold the youngest stadium tour in the history of the Japan band, "Zenjin Mito and Vertraum ~Meimei-hen~", and in October, they will hold an eight-day "regular performance" "Mrs. GREEN APPLE on "Harmony" at K Arena Yokohama, one of the world's largest arenas.

On major streaming services, 17 songs including "Magic", "Que Sera Sera", "Soranji", "I’m invincible", "Blue Ambience (feat. asmi)", "Dance Hall", "New My Normal", "Cheers", "Inferno", "Romanticism", "Bokuno Koto", "Ao To Natsu", "Tenbyouno Uta(feat. Sonoko Inoue)", "Love Me, Love You", "Shunshu", "Wanted! Wanted!" and "Start" have exceeded 100 million total plays (" Ao To Natsu", "Tenbyouno Uta(feat. Sonoko Inoue)", "Dance Hall" have exceeded 500 million plays, "Inferno" has exceeded 400 million plays, "Bokuno Koto" and "Que Sera Sera" have exceeded 300 million plays), and the total number of plays of the songs released has exceeded 7.3 billion (as of May 31, 2024).
